The St Sava Serbian Orthodox Community warmly welcomes all faithful to join us every Sunday for worship and fellowship. We strive to make the Lord's House a place of joy.

Great Lent and Holy Week from March 11 to April 27

Apostles' Fast from June 24 to July 12

Dormition Fast from August 14 to 28

Nativity Fast from November 28, 2019 to January 6, 2020

Fasting Days:

Every Wednesday and Friday, except Fast-Free Weeks;

Holy Cross Day - Epiphany Eve, January 18;

Beheading of St John the Baptist, September 11; and

Elevation of the Honorable Cross, September 27.

Fast-Free Weeks:

Week after the Publican & Pharisee from February 17 to 24;

Cheese-Fare Week from March 3 to 10;

Bright-Week from April 28 to May 5;

Pentecost Week from June 16 to 23; and

After the Nativity to Epiphany Eve from January 7 to 18, 2020.

Days when the sacrament of marriage cannot be performed:

On Wednesdays and Fridays throughout the year

From Cheese-Fare Sunday until St. Thomas Sunday

During the Nativity Fast

From Nativity until Epiphany

During the Apostles Fast and Dormition Fast

On the day of the Beheading of St. John the Baptist

On the Elevation of the Holy Cross.

Days when a Parastos cannot be served:

From Nativity until Epiphany

First week of Great Lent

During Holy & Bright Weeks (prior & after Pascha)

On the feasts of  Christ; Nativity, Circumcision of our Lord, Epiphany, Palm Sunday, Pascha, Ascension of our Lord, Pentecost, & Transfiguration of our Lord.

Pomens may always be served except from Holy Thursday until St. Thomas Sunday
